24-hour Emergency Assistance

ManNasia Altruistic Home Care Services provides 24-hour emergency assistance services with on-call counseling, and problem-solving, as ManNasia Altruistic Home Care Services is an immediate response for assistance at a person (s) home due to a health or personal emergency.

Eligibility

A person is eligible to receive 24-hour emergency assistance if they meet one of the following sets of criteria:

• The person Lives in their own home; Does not receive 24-hour supervision; would otherwise require extensive, routine supervision in the absence of this service.
• The person lives with a primary caregiver who would otherwise require extensive support in the absence of this service to secure help in the event of an emergency.

Services Provided

ManNasia’s 24-hour emergency assistance services can be provided in two ways:

Non-equipment and Equipment Services

• The non-equipment service covers an immediate response for assistance at a person’s home with on-call counseling and problem-solving.
• The equipment services cover Personal emergency response system (PERS) installation and testing and the PERS device and monitoring. Currently, ManNasia Altruistic Home Care Services is not providing equipment services.

Not covered within the service

24-hour emergency assistance does not cover:

• Scheduled on-call support provided through other services.
• Staffing for other services.
• Staff person sleeping or awake overnight in the person’s own home.
